Cardiovascular Monitoring

Cardiac risk screening and management — the part of performance health most clinics skip.

45 minWest Rendezvous Trail

Service Description

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death among anabolic steroid users. It's also largely preventable — if someone is actually paying attention. Most clinics that prescribe testosterone check a CBC and a lipid panel, call it monitoring, and move on. That's not cardiovascular monitoring. That's box-checking. At Järn Haus MD, cardiac risk assessment isn't an afterthought bolted onto hormone management — it's built into the foundation of everything we do. What This Includes Cardiovascular monitoring at this practice means structured, ongoing evaluation of the risk factors that matter most for active adults on hormone therapy or with a history of anabolic steroid use. That includes lipid panels with a focus on atherogenic particle profiles, hematocrit and hemoglobin trending, blood pressure tracking, fasting glucose and metabolic markers, and — when clinically indicated — referral coordination for echocardiography, coronary calcium scoring, or advanced cardiac imaging. We don't order tests for the sake of ordering tests. Every lab and every referral is tied to a clinical question. If your hematocrit is climbing, we want to know why and what to do about it. If your lipid profile shifts after starting TRT, we track the trajectory and adjust the plan — not wait until the numbers become a problem. Why This Matters for You Specifically If you're on testosterone — prescribed or otherwise — your cardiovascular risk profile is different from the general population, and it needs to be managed by a physician who understands that. The same applies if you've used anabolic agents in the past, even years ago. Structural and metabolic effects don't always resolve when you stop. This isn't about scaring you out of therapy. It's about making sure the therapy you're on isn't quietly doing damage that a standard annual physical would miss. How It Works via Telehealth Lab ordering, results review, risk stratification, and management decisions are all well-suited to telehealth. If imaging or hands-on cardiac evaluation is needed, we coordinate with local providers in your area or see you in person in the Jackson Hole region or Salt Lake City.

Cancellation Policy

Before You Book You must be physically located in a state where Järn Haus MD holds an active medical license at the time of your appointment. This is a legal requirement, not a preference. If you're unsure whether your state is covered, check our coverage map or contact us before scheduling. Cancellations & Rescheduling We ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Life happens — we get it. But late cancellations and no-shows hold a slot that another patient could have used. Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a fee.
