Sports Medicine & Injury Guidance
Clinical evaluation and management of training-related pain and injuries.
Service Description
Sports Medicine & Injury Guidance When something hurts, the first question isn't what exercise to substitute. It's what's actually wrong. Sports Medicine & Injury Guidance is the clinical side of training-related problems — evaluation, diagnosis, and management of the injury itself, before anyone starts talking about programming changes. What This Involves A focused clinical encounter built around your injury. We take a detailed history — mechanism, timeline, aggravating and relieving factors, what you've already tried — and combine it with video-based movement assessment to build a working clinical impression. If you have existing imaging, surgical reports, or PT notes, we review those in context. If you need imaging you don't have yet, we order it and coordinate locally. From there, we manage the injury: treatment recommendations, medication when appropriate, referral to physical therapy or surgical consultation when warranted, and ongoing follow-up to track your recovery. If you're already working with a PT or surgeon, we coordinate with your existing team rather than duplicating their work. What Telehealth Can and Can't Do Here History and video-based assessment get us further than most people expect — but some diagnoses require hands-on examination. We'll tell you when that's the case. For patients in the Jackson Hole region or Salt Lake City area, in-person evaluation with a full musculoskeletal exam is available (limited to availability in SLC). For everyone else, we help you find the right local provider when the clinical picture demands it. Where This Ends and Iron Rounds Begins Sports Medicine is the medical evaluation. Once we know what's wrong and the acute phase is managed, the question shifts from clinical to practical — how do you train around it, when do you load it again, and what does the path back to full training look like. That's where Iron Rounds picks up. The Reload builds your return-to-training plan. The Breakdown analyzes whether your movement patterns contributed to the problem. The Audit checks whether your programming set you up for it in the first place. One often leads to the other, but they're different services with different purposes. The medical work lives here. The training work lives there. Available through all membership tiers or as a standalone consultation.
Cancellation Policy
Before You Book You must be physically located in a state where Järn Haus MD holds an active medical license at the time of your appointment. This is a legal requirement, not a preference. If you're unsure whether your state is covered, check our coverage map or contact us before scheduling. Cancellations & Rescheduling We ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Life happens — we get it. But late cancellations and no-shows hold a slot that another patient could have used. Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a fee.
